Wednesday Diversion: art or crap?

How well do you know your art? Can you spot the difference between art and crap? Take this quiz by ModestyPanel and find out!http://www.modestypanel.com/art_or_crap/ArtCrap

Want more? Try one of their other tests like ‘Mod or Fraud’, or perhaps try to spot the Scandinavian in ‘Swiss, Swedish, Danish or Dutch’. Just leave ‘Snack or Scat’ till after lunch, and perhaps save ‘Sexx or Something Else’ till you are at home.

Who you gonna call?

The Ghostbusters are in action downtown at Market Square this Thursday night (June 28th). Bring your lawn chairs (preferably with low backs so people can see over you), grab some popcorn and enjoy this special screening of the ghostly 80’s classic. The movie screen is inflatable, and they’ll be playing cool flicks like Casablanca, Princess Bride (my personal favourite), and ET every Thursday night, over the course of the summer. The movies will start at dusk (8:30 pm in July and 8 pm in August) and it is absolutely free…well, except for the popcorn, but there will be vendors there to sell you some.

Check out the details and full movie listing here: http://www.downtownkingston.ca/page_111.html

Closet Relief

Meg’s Closet
Recently my roommate gave me the most amazing thank you gift; she organized my front closet. With a new shoe rack, four baskets for the upper rack and new wooden hangers, I could actually find my shoes before heading off to work. She organized winter stuff (gloves, hats, and scarves) in one basket, care stuff (polish, static guard, and lint brush) and miscellaneous “ugly” items in the other baskets to keep them out of plain view. My morning dash is no longer as hectic, and if I forget to close the closet door, I don’t have to worry about someone seeing inside.

Welcome!

Welcome to Lily’s Closet, a space devoted to ‘interestingness’ in Kingston and beyond. Why? Well, we like things that are funny, pretty, tasty, on sale, in style and under the radar. Maybe you do, too.

We’ll be using this space to post about fun events in Kingston (at the Herch and beyond), new stores that we think deserve a mention, fun online tools, interesting articles, and much, much more. We think of it like a blog version of a lifestyle magazine.

We hope you come and visit us again.

Em & Meg
